Yes, this is the one we're considering for M1r4: http://www.us.kingbright.com/images/catalog/SPEC/APA1606SURCK.pdf I just don't have any such LEDs at home. That's why it was quicker (and cheaper) to improvise. > and LEDs to place on the bootom to look upwards , e.g. Osram > Pointled. Hmm, bottom-facing LEDs would provide a cleaner solution in those cases where we could try to squeeze a LED under a component, i.e., MIDI, DMX, and video in. But bottom-mounted side-facing LEDs solve that as well and are a bit easier to source. However, this gave me another idea: we could improve the upward emission of bottom-mounted side-facing LEDs by leaving the small PCB area between LED and edge clear, i.e., free from copper and free from solder stop. At least FR4 would be translucent, allowing some light to pass at a steeper angle, like this: http://downloads.qi-hardware.com/people/werner/m1/leds/shine-through.pdf Would this work with the PCB material used for M1 ? - Werner _______________________________________________ http://lists.milkymist.org/listinfo.cgi/devel-milkymist.org IRC: #milkymist@Freenode
