So I was dreaming up this board in my head with an xc6sLX25T-csg324, DDR3 ram (4 bits wide), ethernet, and displayport. And I started thinking I want something like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TopoR to do the board layout, and thinking... well, what if the board router could move pins on the fpga around to minimize distance?
This would require some sort of abstract graph representation of the netlist from the connectors on the board to the stuff inside the fpga. Then I run across migen and networkx.
