Hi,
I finally was able to get the code. Apart setting up correctly the proxy
(that was completely a fault of mine, sorry for that), I also had to use
the https: protocol instead of the normal http:.
I don't know if this is correct (it seems it is not or the help page
should be changed), but I am very happy to have gained access to the
repository.

Check with your network administrator; it sounds like you have some
connectivity issues.
