Check the devel mailing list over the last few weeks - I believe I and others provided some fairly detailed explanation of what would need to be done when an identical question was asked. It is definitely a development project, not just a configuration issue.

Sorry for the delay on replying. I believe that this topic has come up before: no, Open MPI does not currently support running across NAT or firewalls.
