Currently, the shmem_ptr() call in OSHMEM always returns a null pointer. The behavior of shmem_ptr() was updated with OpenSHMEM 1.3 to allow for load/store access to symmetric data objects between PEs on the same node. Is this updated semantic expected to be supported in OSHMEM 2.1, which I understand is the 1.3-compliant release target? If so, will it support accesses to both symmetric heap and static data objects?
