Thank you, I'll document my meandering through the openWRT build and post my results to the Wiki... I was able to battle my way through the previous release and openWRT, even went so far as patching upto the (then) latest release of openwrt Trunk, which will be my goal here as well.
If all goes well I'll update the wiki with new procedures. David.
