Thanks John

I have been fighting vs (info)aircap, wincap, tshark, tcpdump ..... no goog
resuts and many problems for run in monitor mode diferents cards that already
have that possibility.

I solved my problem using kismet, driver selection (rt73), filtering and no
channel hopping, .dump export, rest of file kismet.conf almost default. Windows
Wireshark 1.81.

cheers,
David

Hello,

Not sure about Kismet configuraton but any recent release of WireShark (Stable
1.8.1) will properly decode 802.11s packets captured into a PCAP format.

I capture 802.11s packets either on Windows (AirPcap) or Linux (monitor mode)
into a PCAP file and use WireShark to decode.

Regards, John

Subject: Kismet snifing

Hi,

I'm triying to sniff 802.11s frames without any success, I sniff 802..11bg
without problems. My HW is DWG-G122 C1 V3.0. The same HW used for the mesh (8
nodes working together)

May I have a kismet.conf that work or an information about a special parameter
to do it?.

Tks,
David
