I do not have access to the same hardware, so I used some ath9k_htc usb adapters laying around. Setup: 3.2.0-27 with compat-wireless 2012-04-15, both interfaces part of a mesh network > - Trasfers from node_a to node_b: > "iperf -c node_b -u -b5M -t 60" achieve high lose rate med (33%), max BW: 3 > Mbps > "iperf -c node_b -u -b10M -t 60" achieve high lose rate med (25%), max BW: 6 > Mbps > "iperf -c node_b -u -b15M - t 60" achieve high lose rate med (21%), max BW: > 8 Mbps > > if I check with "-i 10" I can see how the rate in each is going up and down > (40% of range) iperf -c 10.242.97.232 -u -b200M -t 60 -i 10 ------------------------------------------------------------ Client connecting to 10.242.97.232, UDP port 5001 Sending 1470 byte datagrams UDP buffer size: 224 KByte (default) ------------------------------------------------------------ [ 3] local 10.99.125.123 port 34412 connected with 10.242.97.232 port 5001 [ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth [ 3] 0.0-10.0 sec 49.1 MBytes 41.2 Mbits/sec [ 3] 10.0-20.0 sec 53.1 MBytes 44.5 Mbits/sec [ 3] 20.0-30.0 sec 59.9 MBytes 50.3 Mbits/sec [ 3] 30.0-40.0 sec 61.8 MBytes 51.8 Mbits/sec [ 3] 40.0-50.0 sec 56.9 MBytes 47.7 Mbits/sec [ 3] 50.0-60.0 sec 53.3 MBytes 44.7 Mbits/sec [ 3] 0.0-60.0 sec 334 MBytes 46.7 Mbits/sec [ 3] Sent 238375 datagrams [ 3] Server Report: [ 3] 0.0-60.1 sec 334 MBytes 46.6 Mbits/sec 1.177 ms 66/238374 (0.028%) [ 3] 0.0-60.1 sec 1 datagrams received out-of-order with similar data rates and packet losses on the server Could you tell us what version of compat-wireless was used and have you tried this iperf test with infrastructure mode with the same hardware or mesh mode with other hardware?
