As far as I know, I have not set the channel or HT mode using the iw. The
phy mode and channel are based on the configuration file in authsae.cfg.
(from authsae.sample.cfg in config folder).

So it would be:
/sbin/wifi down
iw phy0 interface add mesh0 type mp
ifconfig mesh0 up
mesh-nl80211 -c /etc/authsae.cfg

Am I understand you correctly?
