I can tell you that I don't appear to be building with libaio support (and
neither libaio or libaio-devel are installed on my Fedora 9 box, although I
understand gentoo doesn't do that kind of split). Do you really need it?
Ahh... I remember reading somewhere that samba4 will try to add
components if it detects needed dependencies. It looks like only strace
needed libaio, so I removed it and recompiled strace without it.
Holy crap, 'make samba' compiled!
