A few months ago I started putting together a program that imports emails from my employer's Exchange server and prints them as individual text files that can be fed into procmail. My starting point was a combination of Julien's exchange2mbox and exchange2ical.
Since I am not much of a programmer and since my knowledge about how Exchange puts together its mapi objects is rather shallow, it was a bit of trial and error to get all the different body formats and attachments imported correctly. Whenever I received an email that my program couldn't handle, it was back to the code. By know I seem to have reached some stability, haven't had any "strange" emails in several weeks. So maybe it's time now to share this little program with the community. You can find the code plus a bit of documentation at http://q.freeshell.org/ex2md Have a look, try it out and send me the bug fixes. ;-) Last but not least, a big thank you to Julien, Brad and everyone else who is working on this project and who answered my questions on this forum. I really appreciate your work. Thanks. dirk -- Be Yourself @ mail.com!
