Provisioning worked great for me - see recent post on devel mailing list. So I guess you are doing something different (or wrong) or your environment is different. I'm using Fedora12 x86_64, with samba alpha10. Are you working off the instructions in the tree (in doc/howto.txt)? Can you clean up your install (probably most sure way is to reinstall samba + openchange) and post the full range of steps and the results of each?
