As part of the RPC-over-HTTP work, we need to move to Samba 4.2.x. Julien suggested a possible issue with the debug library, but I'm not seeing that at link time, or at runtime on the client side. The private debug library does get brought in indirectly (at least that is what ldd shows), but it doesn't need to be linked explicitly.
I've put up a PR for it (based off earlier work), but I'd really like to know if anyone has a server (or mapiproxy) problem with Samba 4.2.x.
