Is this memory good for running samba? Plus, let me know what could be my next steps in debugging this error. I am fairly new in configuring mail servers. Your help would be much appreciated. Which fetched samba and compiled and installed it. Just be on safe side what is the minimum requirement for memory for running samba. Given your output, the possible reasons shall be that you are either lacking memory (unlikely), or that Samba does not return the location of the private dir.
