Yes, it makes no difference, probably because it never downloaded any actual messages to Outlook. The OST file is 16mb. The issue appears to be that while Openchange / SOGo go through the large number of folders this mailbox has, something times out and when the folder listing completes, the Outlook client is no longer there, it then re-authenticates and goes through the folder listing again, etc. In netstat I do see the connections to port 443 from my Outlook stay up, but maybe something else is timing out internally ? Is there a timeout somewhere that might cause this ? A number of folders limit ? I've set the Apache RequestTimeout to 900 seconds and KeepAliveTimeout to 900 as well.
