Firstly, these sound like questions for the support list. This is the devel list. I think we want to keep the traffic here focused on development related discussions.
So, to use the default Om2008.8 keyboard to enter numbers, etc, swipe up or down on the keyboard. The enter button is on the panel with the special characters. I don't see a ctrl or esc key. No clue how to enter those with this keyboard. As far as the icons at the top, it would seem to me that the GTK theme loaded with Om2008.8 is slightly different than that of OM2007.2. Not sure how or why. I intend to start a new thread about that very "issue" as it affects a program I developed that I would like to work the same on both Om2008.8 and OM2007.2. -Steven On Fri, Aug 8, 2008 at 10:15 AM, Harald Koenig <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, > > what's the reason that Om 2008.8 image doesn't include a terminal ? > > I've first installed "vte" but I don't understand using that keyboard yet > (don't know how to press enter/ctrl/... -- doesn't seem to be useable > for command line use ?!). > > then I installed openmoko-terminal2: > this is missing the icons for zoom out (-) and paste in the title bar. > those funtions are only available in a pulldown menu which is at the > very right of the title bar being connected to an almost invisible > dot (1-pixel icon) ? > > openmoko-terminal2 uses the same weird keyboard. > where can I find docs for this keyboard ? > > > thanks, > > Harald > -- > "I hope to die ___ _____ > before I *have* to use Microsoft Word.", 0--,| /OOOOOOO\ > Donald E.
