I have created a new modem type called qualcomm_msm (yes I know you find it too broad, but I'd rather start broad and then specify, if necessary -- not vice versa).
Please check whether this works for you. To test, set: [ogsmd] modemtype=qualcomm_msm The real work for you starts now. You need to add support for the non-standard unsolicited messages (start with the signal quality thingy) and perhaps non-standard commands and responses.
