Sorry i can't give you a solution but the problem here is that wiki
mentions old bluez3-way for both laptop and the phone. We're using
bluez4 on freerunner for quite some time (also you're most probably
using bluez4 on laptop too). So you need to find some instructions
about getting PAN to work with bluez4. Hint: if some manual mentions
hcid or pand it's old and deprecated. Bluez4 uses bluetoothd.

You're interested in how to find a decent how-to about using dbus
interfaces described in doc/network-api.txt from bluez4 sources.
