I also have same error, by putting office in favorites and removing writer,
now kwrite opens.

Also, not sure if kde related, since updating kde, every time I log out or
reboot, pulseaudio loads.

I have to open alsamixer every time, select my card, all columns are muted.

I installed fresh 2 weeks ago, set up alsamixer, have not touched it since
that first time.

Now I need to set it up every time after new kde.
