I pushed the following kernel packages: sys-kernel/linux-sabayon-3.1-r3 sys-kernel/linux-server-3.1-r3 sys-kernel/sabayon-sources-3.1-r3 sys-kernel/server-sources-3.1-r3
They're based off Linux 3.1.6. In particular, in the amd64 sabayon kernel I switched the scheduler from CFQ to deadline. The other kernels were already set to deadline as default iosched. CFQ was causing really bad responsivity under heavy I/O operations and I don't know why the amd64 kernel was having that as default. As a result, Sabayon amd64 kernel is now flying. -- Fabio Erculiani
