May I suggest using ACPI_ASUS module as [m] instead of [Y] ? In order to provide the kernel with ASUS_LAPTOP=[m] (which is the newest module from acpi4asus), the reason is ACPI_ASUS is the deprecated one for <2.6.24 kernels.
