Usually it's better to post such stuff on the bug tracker, because they can get lost easily otherwise…
By the way if one day GRUB is updated, it'll stop reading info from /proc/cmdline during grub-mkconfig (due to a commit in a Sabayon overlay which gets rid of it). I consider it (ie. the fact it'll stop doing so) a good thing. ;) SN
