Hi all,
I noted that the latest bunch of updates on weekly proposed
nvidia-drivers:346.35 for all those running the previous 340.58
release.
The problem is that, according to nVidia's supported products page
(http://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/81252/en-us) the
newer driver dropped support for:
GeForce 3xx
GeForce 2xx
GeForce 1xx
GeForce 9xxx
GeForce 8xxx
ION
And corresponding Quadro products.

Users running normal updates on weekly with such hardware will end up
with a broken system. In one case I've seen the module preventing the
system from booting, constantly printing information about the video
card not being supported anymore, and suggesting a roll back to
340.58.
Only solution was to boot from live, blacklist nvidia, downgrade
drivers, whitelist nvidia.

I suggest we keep 340.35 in our repositories as legacy branch.
