Hi, Today, git is the tool we all know/use for collaborative projects. I think that the wiki should not be the exception.
There are many ways to use Git as wiki backend. The migration could even forbid web online changes to rely only on static files. By using static files, usually in a lightweigth markup langage format like markdown or ReST, I think we could reach sightly more contributors. Also, I believe the Wiki would be easier to maintain and to keep it up-to-date. The workflow would be improved, too. Occasional contributors will be able to send quick patches or pull requests. Maintainers of the wiki would benefit all the great features to review, edit, merge and update the official wiki. Cheers, -- Nicolas Sebrecht
