Hi, I found two problems with mariadb-galera package:
1) On mariadb-galera package is missing file /usr/bin/my_print_defaults (that is used with emerge --config to iniziale mysql database). 2) installation of mariadb-galera (where is there already mariadb installed) generate this warning: There are 4 preserved libraries on the system /usr/lib64/libmysqlclient.so.18.0.0 [libmysqlclient.so.18:2 -> dev -db/mariadb-10.1.8] /usr/lib64/libmysqlclient.so.18 [libmysqlclient.so.18:2 -> dev -db/mariadb-10.1.8] /usr/lib32/libmysqlclient.so.18.0.0 [libmysqlclient.so.18:1 -> dev -db/mariadb-10.1.8] /usr/lib32/libmysqlclient.so.18 [libmysqlclient.so.18:1 -> dev -db/mariadb-10.1.8] also if mariadb-galera install same client-libs files. How could be fixed this ? Another point (not a problem): 3) on my env I also added these use flags: +extraengine +tokudb +jemalloc +oqgraph +sst-xtrabackup jemalloc is required for tokudb and I don't know if you prefer maintaint this disable to avoid add of jemalloc library and enlarge package size. Another fine option (that I haven't also test) is xtrabackup for permit hot backup without lock, it sound good, I will try this soon. Thanks G.
