VideoOutput will simply not work. Please check /usr/lib/qt5/qml/Sailfish/Media/VideoPlayer.qml and use it as an example to get video working with your app. VideoOutput from QtMultimedia will simply not work. I really told you all I know about the video playback WRT QML/QtMultimedia. I don't think I can add anything more.
