I would like to be able to send email from [email protected] from my usual email clients. Google used to let one prove that you owned an address, and then add it to the set from From addresses one could send from. Some time ago, they closed this off, while still allowing any existing ones, and instead require you to send thru an external SMTP server that is provable authoritative for that domain.
