Yeah my results are similar.  The CPU heat sync not a big deal, at
least with no case on the Pi.  I have heard of seom Pi3 overheating
in closed cases.

However, I have tried putting my Pi in bubble wrap.  I can easily see
the xtal frequency shift.  So my issue is more xtal stability for NTP.

I'm gonna get a Pi box and put a fan on it.  Maybe I can use the fan
to stabilize the temp in the box.
