I haven't tried NTP classic yet. Making sure our stuff worked on Big Endian gear seemed important enough that I got a Mac-mini from eBay. I think the Mac-mini suggestion came from a NetBSD list. I haven't figured out how to install their code yet. I tried FreeBSD. It installed OK, but then hangs when booting. I was a bit surprised when I stumbled into Debian running on PowerPC but it just worked. -- These are my opinions.
