I didn't try that. The change I tried seemed reasonable. I might have fatfingered something. It takes just long enough to try something that I didn't go into the try-lots-of-things mode. (It required typing stuff at Open Firmware, and I actually have to type rather than cut-paste, and then booting and waiting 5 or 6 minutes until ntpd prints an error message.)
