There are some rumours that the Tinkerboard might be discontinued, so I looked around a found this:
https://libre.computer/ The two boards of interest are the LePotato and the Renegade. The latter is also based on a Rockchip SoC like the Tinkerboard and looks to have a few things that I've been sorely missing on the rasPi, chiefly eMMC support. If it actually becomes available as planned in February that'll be one of the next boards to try.
