My copy of OpenBSD 7.4 has clock_gettime() and clock_settime(). So we can take the first step without changing that area. The timex stuff will be a bit more complicated. They have something to set the drift. I forget what it is called. What ntp_adjtime() does is kick the drift by 500 PPM for as long as it takes to make the target adjustment. We can fake that. It won't be as good as as doing it in the kernel. It will be fun to measure. -- These are my opinions.
