Hello everyone, We've been having some problems with the hosting service that we use for Open-FCoE.org and as a result we have been experiencing some usability problems with the site. Initially Open-FCoE.org was a simple system that I set up, but now it gets scanned by a security team and we get demands to implement security features than can, and have, broken the services we provide. We do not have a dedicated webhosting resource, so when these problems occur it is a big burden on our team to resolve them.
Our plan is to move hosting to the Oregon State University Open Source Lab (osuosl.org) as they have much more web hosting expertise than we do and they will be able to manage the servers for us. We hope to complete this migration by the end of this year. We will send announcements regarding any outages or other known changes that would impact users, as these issues arise. We will not migrate the 'libhbalinux' mailing list as it never really took off. I created that list so that 'libhbalinux' discussions could occur without FC guys having to be subscribed to an FCoE list. I think that I was over concerned with this detail and the list has not been used since its inception. By not migrating this list, it will cease to exist when we've completed the migration to the OSU OSL. I just wanted to send this mail to acknowledge problems that users may be seeing, we see them too, and to let everyone know that we do have a plan. Thanks, //Rob _______________________________________________ devel mailing list devel@open-fcoe.org https://lists.open-fcoe.org/mailman/listinfo/devel
