okay...

I think my next step is to do a fresh OpenSUSE Install. This is not as
drastic as it might sound. Here is where I have been and what I want to do:

My wife and I are starting a webdev business together on the side. During
the day, I work writing tech support processes for cable modem, tv and phone
+ voip tech support agents. I have a ton of experience working with linux
but not so much in coding. We were looking at different groupware solutions
but none work out for us. Our data is safely on LVM/seperate harddrives, so
we have been playing musical distributions trying to get this to work with
different solutions. Distro wise, we tried Ubuntu, Debian and Slackware.
Appwise We've tried OpenXchange, Zimbra, Egroupware, vtiger and Bongo,
nothing matches what we really want which is to have something that works
with outlook so in the future if the business takes off we can hire temps
with a minimal of training overhead. Either its too big or too small and not
flexible enough.

This install of Opensuse already had installed (then botched) Zimbra,
Funambol, and Simple Groupware. So, I'm going to start yet another clean
install tonight, so I can tell you exactly which packages I needed and what
I ran into from SuSE. I genuinely want to contribute to the success of this
project. I think I could contribute in the form of documentation. I was very
frustrated last night, but I'm not giving up. I may try 10.3

All the best,

tim.
