Category: packaging Group: ver devel Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Norm Brandinger (norm_brandinger) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Database Schema Warnings Initial Comment: The following warnings are produced during installation: ... ... (repeated three times) warning: failed to load external entity "extra.xml" ... ... rm: cannot remove `/tmp/openser-dbtext.tmp': No such file or directory ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Henning Westerholt (henningw) Date: 2007-07-25 11:54 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=337916 Originator: NO Hi, an empty extra.xml file is not valid, this this will produce an error. And a file with only an xml header will probably cause errors in a later steps of the conversation. So i would like to stay with the current state. Hm, for me the installation process works, strange. But i've added an "-f" to the rm, this should fix the problems you've seen. Cheers, Henning ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Norm Brandinger (norm_brandinger) Date: 2007-07-24 15:40 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1786021 Originator: YES 1. Perhaps an empty extra.xml file should be created to stop the warning messages. 2. The rm error caused the installation process to stop. For example, /usr/local/etc/openser is not created so /usr/local/etc/openser/dbtext does not exist. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Henning Westerholt (henningw) Date: 2007-07-24 14:45 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=337916 Originator: NO Hello Norman, the first warning is just a warning about a non-existent database extension file. Some notes about this are at http://openser.org/dokuwiki/doku.php/development:db-schema So this is not critical. The second error is a little bit strange. Are your dbtext tables created?
