only if you want to do it for yourself, that patch should work with
1.2.x. Maybe won't apply clean, because lines are different now, but the
structures/components it relies are there, only LM_* has to be written
back in LOG(). However, I do not see a great benefit of while statement
unless the dynamic index for PV are available, which are not in 1.2.x,
and backporting them will be a huge amount of work, and 1.3.x is not
that far away.
