Also if you are not sure we can go another way and have intermediate repoman version that does not do the change, but issue deprecation warning if defaults are being used, so everybody can test their setups. I guess the most impacted will be ovirt release engineering while working on 4.0 repos but being 4.1 coming in 2 months we can survive.
