Not sure about a redesign of the architecture (e.g. breaking the
local/shared DC distinction), but one of the following

Adding danken. Dan - do we have any recommendations re this? Is
localdisk preferred over vmdisk? localdisk is newer, has much more
documentation, but only in the source, not on the website.
