As described in the link given by Ludwig, RIOT has a different
scheduling algorithm: the thread with the highest priority that is
runnable will be run.
Adding round-robin scheduling for threads of one priority can easily
(ten lines of code) be added, but we think it is better in terms of
performance and power consumption to stick with the default algorithm.
Do you have an actual use case?
