Maybe detailed release notes from the RC1 for RTEMS 5 will help: https://ftp.rtems.org/pub/rtems/releases/5/rc/5.1.0-rc1/rtems-5.1.0-rc1-release-notes.pdf It is detailed and there is a lot of information but it does cover the changes that have been made.
