The hello-world example looks like it does not do anything fancy on exit, so I 
believe you’re looking at the (expected) cap fault when it runs out of code and 
has no fault handler. You can do things like suspend your own TCB to exit more 
“cleanly” but I suspect this complexity is deliberately not included in 
hello-world.

As for why you can’t exit Qemu, this is the expected behavior when you run Qemu 
in non-GUI mode. Hit Ctrl-A,x to exit.
