So, this makes it sound like, with the CVS version, I may be able to do something to 
work around my ATI IGP320 not being recognized as a radeon?
(i'm the one who started this thread... I've learned a lot, but still don't have the 
answers I'm looking for -> How to get this working with 3d!)

One thing that I found interesting based on all of this.
When i try modprobe agp*
I get this error:
/lib/modules/2.4.19/kernel/drivers/char/agp/agpart.o.gz : init_module: No such device

Now, is this just because things aren't setup correctly, or is this really going 
through plain vanilla pci?

Just a thought...
