With all the recent errors people have reported about font "fixed",
which turns out to be that xfs wasn't running, maybe there should be
better error reporting in the log file. Is it feasible to report that
the font server isn't running when the unix:XXXX font path fails?
If the logfile suggested to people that they should make sure xfs is
running we might get fewer bug reports.
