I meant all of the badly written applications, not all Linux applications :) Many of them are extremely fine examples of how well code can be written and a fine proof of the benefits of open source. Even though I work for a proprietary UNIX company I still use MANY open source tools that are very well written. But some of them are ... well ... just plain crap or so Linux-centric it is a joke to call them "portable UNIX" applications as some do.
