Hi there,

I emailed the support list, but as it seems to just be a load of "help
me debian not work no more in windows thankyou"-type emails these days,
i suspected i may have to report this problem on the devel list, so
please excuse me if i have stepped out of line;

I have a Radeon VE QY graphics card sitting on top an Intel 845
(Brookdale) AGP Bridge (rev 04) and have enabled the DRI/DRM to work
with my linux-2.4.20 kernel (using X's module, not kernel vanilla).

however after upgrading to XFree86-4.3, libGL applications give vertical
lines over black/dark regions of drawables, which is generally quite
annoying. (i have a 40K screenshot anyone is welcome to) It leads to an
overall 'grainy effect'.

I would very much like somebody to tell me what is going on, when i
posted to the dri-cvs list (pre 4.3) Jose Fonseca replied at the time
(after viewing a screenshot):
> It's very strange indeed. It seems some kind of problem with

I also experience crashes when using xmms (but no core dumps). The only
output i can get is CRASHHH!!

drmRadeonCmdBuffer: -22

if any gdb legends would like to walk me through for specific details, i
would be willing to oblige. This happens when i disable 3d plugins (they
work just fine when running, its just when i disable them). sorry i cant
give a bt, i have tried getting a core dump to no avail. everythign all
recompield to the new X libs of course ;)

anyone know how to fix these issues? sorry i cant submit any fixes... im
not a hardware programmer by any means...

thanks in advance, and apologies again for this going to devel
Sam
