I'm not sure why you feel it's unnecessary since I never declared my
motivation for the change.  I use tools (external to the xfree
project) to process these cpp scripts.

I admit, until recently I only used them on xf4.3 and earlier but this
one script stands out from the others because of the XCOMM not
starting at col 0.  I only made the change request because it doesn't
seem consistent with the rest of the scripts in the tree.  

Of course you're free to reject the request.
