I have just one question : Are there other functions that use _XGetHostname ?
There are a few in libX11, but they're allowed to :)
Currently there arent any others outsode that do, but there are some files that include Xlibint.h so presumably they are using other internal functions from libX11.
However I did notice that lib/Xmu/GetHost.c has yet another version of the same code, but called XmuGetHostname, and it has now a third, different set of pre-processor conditionals that set NEED_UTSNAME. This is messy.
