However, (if we care), by assuming the return value of sprintf() to be ANSI
conformant, we're breaking SunOS support.

Then again, the only two people to report to perl5-porters about building on
SunOS in the past 18 months both failed to reply to requests for more
information, so I suspect that Perl 5 currently doesn't build on SunOS.
