I expect it to work like this:
- add entry Foo 1
- add entry Foo 2
- add entry Foo 3
- add entry Bar 1; oops, I need a seperator!

Yes, I've seen it, it's all over the code. What I don't get is, why
this would be specific to SGI.

It's pretty easy to trick on any platform, and worth a look. It
changes NEdit's settings model quite a bit: You only get certain
settings, and every change is immediately written to disk.

Not bad in itself, but again, why SGI? I would rather make this a
supersetting across all OS.
