I am using now xchat-2.0.7, gtk2-2.4.0, pango-1.4.0 (all from fedora 2 test 3).
LANG=ar_SD.UTF-8 xchat gives:
/help as /help
hi ;) as hi ;)
/join # as /join #
with arabic strings also right.
Does this close the bug?
